Build a Stunning Maple and Walnut Chess Board! Bring your love for craftsmanship and strategy to life by creating your very own chess board. In this workshop, you’ll design and build a classic checkerboard using rich walnut and light maple wood, perfect for game nights or as a timeless decor piece.
During this workshop, you’ll:
Assemble, sand, and finish a premium-quality chess board using walnut and maple for a striking contrast.
Learn woodworking techniques to ensure clean lines, smooth surfaces, and a professional finish..
Gain hands-on experience in a relaxed and supportive setting—ideal for beginners and experienced woodworkers alike.
All tools and materials are provided, along with expert guidance from our instructors. By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a beautifully crafted chess board ready to elevate your game or enhance your home decor.

Participants must attend all 3 days of the workshop to complete their chess board. If unable to attend the any additional day, an additional fee will be charged for us to finish the board on your behalf or for you to return another day to finish with our instruction. Safety is our top priority—participants must follow all shop rules, wear provided safety gear, and use tools only as instructed.
